No preocupado
Everybody here is always saying, “Don’t worry.” “Don’t worry.” And I always think, what is there to worry about? I finally figured out that “No preocupado” (Don’t worry.) is used in the same way that we say, “No problem.”
So don’t worry, be happy!
Go ahead and smile. You know you want to.
No worries! Now doesn’t that feel great?
Sky Candy
If you have followed my adventures for any time, you know that I LOVE sunrise. Sunsets are awesome, but there is something about a dark sky evolving into light — sometimes with riotous color and sometimes soft pastels — that just makes my day!
Taxco being a mountain town with many ups and downs, there are many vantage points for overlooking the city. My room though, located on the fourth floor overlooking the valley to the East, offers the perfect vantage point for viewing the sunrise over the surrounding mountains.
I could lie in bed and watch the sun come up, if I wanted to, yet stepping out onto my terrace balcony, where I have an unobstructed view of the “puesta del sol,” while breathing in the fresh morning air, is almost a spiritual experience. Each new day is a fresh palette, painting a new masterpiece never to be seen again. How can I miss even one?
I share with you here some of the more spectacular daybreaks. Grab a “cuppa” and sit back and enjoy the show.
What is that?
From my plane window, I opened my eyes to this sight. What is that I wondered? Is it a glacier? Did I board the wrong flight? Did we take a wrong turn and are headed to Alaska instead of sunny Mexico?
Just a cloud bank – how different they look from above, hey?
Supersize that
With supersized drinks and fries, I guess it was only a matter of time…
Each of the four occupants of this monster tent has their own “bedroom” plus a screened common area AND a screen room outside. And this was not the only example of such “largesse” either; these monsters were popping up everywhere.
Rainbow Sunset
Where I am located between two bluffs of the Baraboo range, a clear view of the sunset is hard to come by. But one night I happened to catch this pre-sunset display in the sky.
Awesome!
Reading Room
Hanging out at the library. Here and there.
There is a world of difference between the outdoor reading room at the library in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico and the reading room in the Carnegie library (with the original fireplace and shelving) in Baraboo, Wisconsin. But no matter where you are, a library is a valuable treasure and a great place to hang out.
Sit a little, relax a little, read a little or a lot and ENJOY!
Green
Living in natural surroundings, I have become very aware of why the big 64 box of crayons is important. Everything around me is green, but not just one green. There is light green and dark green, pale green and bright green, spring green, yellow green, spruce, pine, and a whole forest of forest green. There are probably more greens that that but who can name them all?
Wherever you are, take a moment to sit back, relax and drink in the sights, sounds, and smells of green. Ahhhh, that’s better!
